Works have begun to restore the stained glass at the Little Ark Church

With significant work needed to restore and protect the three original and strikingly beautiful stained glass windows behind the alter at the Church of the Little Ark (Star of the Sea) at Moneen, Father Michael Casey, Kilballyowen Parish Council, with the help of Margaret Cotter, went about applying to the Heritage Council for funding towards this essential repair work. Funding was granted and work has indeed begun. The Parish are grateful to Kilballyowen Development, Loop Head Together and various community individuals for their support of the project. We look forward to their careful restoration and indeed the safeguarding of these important windows as part of our heritage here, for many years to come. Míle Buíochas to all.
