Kilballyowen Features at Shannon Airport

The wonderful work done by Paddy and Conor Murray from Kilkee Forge on the Kilballyowen Scroll, was showcased in the arrivals hall at Shannon Airport recently. This was spotted and highlighted by Conor himself who took a photo of the display and posted it online. The Kilballyowen Scroll formed part of the Ionad Cois Cuain sculpture garden project in the village of Kilbaha.

Conor’s words were: “It was a nice surprise recently to see one of our sculptures featured by Fáilte Ireland in the arrivals hall at Shannon Airport! The Kilballyowen Scroll is situated in the village of Kilbaha and depicts local folklore around the themes of emigration, religion, sport, music, farming and fishing. Be sure to check it out if you’re in the area!”

The displays probably change regularly but look out for the Kilballyowen Scroll on your next visit to Shannon Airport.
